Ajmer Sharif Dargah
Situated at the foot of Taragarh hill, Dargah of Ajmer Sharif,is the most famous and spiritual place of Rajasthan. It is otherwise a muslim shrine, but visited by devotees of all faiths from all walks of life.It is the shrine of famous sufi saint, Gharib Nawaz Mohin-Ud-Din-Chishthi, who died here in 1236.It is most visited in Urs which is the seventh month of lunar calendar, and death anniversary of Saint. It is considered pious to visit here to get rid of all problems of life. Jama Masjid also known as Shah Jahani Mosque, located at the southern end of Ajmer Sharif, has all 99 names of God with 33 verses of Quran very beautifully inscribed on its tomb.

Nasiyan Jain Temple
Also known as Lal Mandir (Red Temple), Nasiyan Jain Temple is devoted to Lord Adinath, the first Jain ‘Tirthankara’. It is famous for its magnificent chamber, Swarna Nagri meaning City of Gold. Famous Jain Lord, Adinath’s five stages of life are depicted in gold plated wooden figurines. The sparkling Swarna nagri museum has around 1000 kg of gold used in it to depict Ayodhya. No tour of Ajmer is complete without visiting Soni ji ki Nasiyan.

Taragarh Fort
Also known as the ‘Star fort’, and crowned as the oldest hill fort of India, Taragarh overlooks the entire Ajmer and Bundi region. Taragarh Fort is at best during sunset offering a breathtaking and picturesque view. This majestic architectural structure is situated on a steep hill, and is of great interest to its tourists though most parts of this fort is mainly in ruins now.

Ana Sagar Lake
Situated at a distance of 13 km from main city of Ajmer, Ana Sagar Lake is a breathtaking and gorgeous 12 km long man-made lake and is crowned as the largest artificial lake of India. It is surrounded by Daulat Bagh which was commenced upon by Emperor Jahangir who later added enchanting five marble pavillions known as baradari, among the garden and lake. There is an island in the midst of the lake and is accessible by water scooters and boats to reach the island thus making it a not to miss sights of Ajmer. The lake was built by Maharaja Anaji Chauhan, the grandfather of chivalrous King Prithvi Raj Chauhan. Its beauty makes it a must visit place of Ajmer.

Akbari Fort and Museum
Constructed in 1500 AD, Akbar’s Palace situated in the heart of Ajmer is a famous tourist attraction for its grandeur Mughal Architecture. Its construction was commissioned by Akbar for him and his troops to stay in Ajmer and later was residence of Prince Salim, son of Emperor Akbar. Its museum now houses lavish Rajputana sculptures and excavated age old mughal military armoury.This museum is also home to dug up material from various destinations.It is said that Akbari Fort is where Salim as Emperor permitted the British East India Company to trade with India by reading out the ferman.

Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra
Adhai meaning two and half owes its name to this extraordinary ruins of Adhai -Din Ka Jhonpra mosque beacause this Indo-islamic architectural structure is said to have been constructed in two and a half day. It was originally built as a sanskrit college but later in 1198,when Mohammed of Ghori seized Ajmer is when he converted the buildinginto a mosque.

Prithviraj Smark
A memorial dedicated to Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan, the Smarak located on Taragarh road is placed atop a hill. A life sized statue of Prithviraj Chauhan mounted on a black horse depicting a fearless warrior has been marked to pay homage.
